The sculpture's dynamic with the public disrupts a linear perception of time. By allowing individuals to grasp and manipulate both time and light, it offers an invitation to play with the concept of temporal location. "Eclisse" presents time as an entity intertwined with natural elements that reveal its progression, such as the changing seasons, the varying colors of the sky as the Earth orbits the sun, and the daily cycle of the sun rising and setting.
The sculpture features a steel vertical axis that serves as both a structural support and a critical component of the mechanism. As the disk of light moves along this vertical axis, its colour changes to represent the four distinct phases of the day: dawn, noon, dusk, and night. This interactive element allows viewers to physically engage with the representation of time, offering a tangible connection to its passage.
